Flesherton Minor Hockey will be hosting the youth dances (grades 3-8) as a fundraiser for the organization. Each team will take a turn chaperoning the dances, please contact your manager for details.

Jan 15, 2012 - Congratulations to the Flesherton Golden Hawk Pee Wee Rep Hockey team who traveled to Forest to participate in the International Silver Stick Finals. They won three preliminary games to make it to the semi finals. On Sunday morning they put out Stockholm, NJ to advance to the finals. Although they played a tremendous game and put forth a great effort, the Hawks came up short in the final game losing to Centre Hastings 3-2. It was a close and exciting game. Players all received a commemorative Silver Stick Finalist pin and the team was awarded a trophy and banner to place in our arena. Special congratulations to Shale Blakey, Trent Verbeek and Richard Carson who were chosen for the All Star team.

Players are: Stirling Betts, Shale Blakey, Austin Brown, Nathan Buchanan, Devon Carson, Richard Carson, Nate Ferris, Tanner Franks, Tevin Laws, Ben Mann, Devon Morris, Ben O'Donnell, Sam Routheut and Trent Verbeek.

The Flesherton Golden Hawks travelled to Chesley on Saturday, December 17th, for Arran-Elderslie's Midget Rep tournament. They defeated the Wainfleet Wild in their first game 4-2, with goals scored by Brandon Barfoot, Garrett Reed, Quin O'Donnell and Skylar Robertson. In their second game, Marlin Hutchinson definitely earned his shut-out, with goals coming from Derrick Gibbons and Silas Mackinnon, to beat Shallow Lake 2-0. Using a point system, they again met Wainfleet in the finals, this time winning 3-1, thanks to markers by Skylar Robertson, B.J. Reed and Quin O'Donnell.

The Flesherton Golden Hawk Pee Wee Reps won the Wasaga Beach Regional Silver Stick on Sunday Dec. 11th.. They won three games to get to the championship and beat Stayner 4-3 to take the trophy. They will compete in the International Silver Stick Finals in Forest Jan. 13-15. Congratulations to the players and coaches!

The Atoms advanced to the Finals by beating Drayton 2-1, Tied Minto 3 -3, beat Mildmay 2-1, and then Arthur 6-2 in the semi's. The final was a rematch against Minto and was a great game tied 0-0 going into the third, but the final score ended up 2-0 Minto. The kids had a great tournament and played their hearts out and we were very proud of their effort!

During the October 29th 1st Annual Austin Holley Memorial Tournament in Wiarton. Flesherton Golden Hawks Novice Rep took all three games by storm, winning over Arran Elderslie Icedogs 6-0, Bruce Peninsula Northstars 5-3 and Shallow Lake Lakers 4-3. Great goal tending, passing and team work!
